Shuttle Company, this is usually among the first ones launching new solutions based on VIA chipsets, has recently announced three new products based on the DDR400 chipsets from VIA: P4X400 and KT400. Here are their brief specs for your reference:
- AK37/GT/R. This Socket A mainboard is based on VIA KT400 chipset. It supports 200/266MHz FSB, features 4 DIMM slots for DDR400/DDR333/DDR266 SDRAM (note that you can use only Registered DIMM modules without ECC), an AGP 8x slot, 5 PCI slots, 6 USB 2.0 ports, 6-channel AC’97 sound with S/PDIF support. The mainboard also supports 10/100Mbit Fast Ethernet, may come equipped with an optional ATA/133 IDE RAID (HPT372 chip). The mainboard supports overclocking friendly functions: clock frequency adjustment between 100MHz and 200MHz and Vcore, Vdimm, Vagp adjustment.

The mainboard supports 400MHz and 533MHz FSB frequencies, features 4 DIMM slots for DDR400/DDR333/DDR266 SDRAM) to use all 4 slots simultaneously you have to take Registered memory modules, with no ECC support). Besides, the mainboard is equipped with an AGP 8x/4x slot, 5 PCI slots, 6 USB 2.0 ports, 6-channel AC’97 sound with S/PDIF Out, 10/100Mbit Fast Ethernet. The mainboard may also go with an optional ATA/133 RAID (HPT372 chip). As for overclocking friendly features, the mainboard supports FSB adjustment between 100MHz and 200MHz, and Vdimm, Vcore and Vagp adjustment.

- AV49N. This is one more Socket478 mainboard based on VIA P4X400 chipset. It differs from AV47GT/R by the absence of ATA/133 RAID controller and only 3 DIMM slots for DDR SDRAM.

All these mainboards should start shipping in mass quantities in August.
