Not only Hewlett-Packard establishes its maintenance and distribution centres nowadays. ASUSTeK Computer has decided to create an assembly and maintenance centre in the Czech Republic. The company will assemble its desktop PCs and other devices of such kind there, saving costs on fare of big devices.
The company will invest nearly $3 million to set the facilities up in Rudna Logistic Park near Prague, occupying about 3000 square meters. ASUStek is going to initially hire about 200 workers. Since the building of its own facilities and warehouses takes time, the company will lease some of the existing industrial spaces and equipment. Czech Republic offers 10-year corporate income tax waiver for those foreign companies, who invested $3 and more millions in the country. Besides, Czech Republic offers cheap labour rates and well-developed transportation links.<%BANNER[article]%>
Assembling personal computers in Europe will allow ASUS to further cut down the costs of their personal computers because of the fact that they will not have to spend a lot of funds on fare of bulky and heavy personal computers from Asia. Moreover, the creation of maintenance centre and its further expansion will allow ASUS to expand its presence in Europe.
