The 0.18micron Pentium 4 family is little by little leaving the stage. This time, Intel discontinued the model working at 1.7GHz: the boxed versions stopped shipping on July 17, and the last order for tray version will be accepted on November 8, 2002 with the last shipment planned for January 9, 2004 at the latest.
This way, there remained only two models in this processor family now: Pentium 4 1.8GHz and 1.9GHz, which will also last not very long, as we have told you here.
