ASUS P4T533 (PC4200/PC3200 RIMM) Selling

The first mainboard out of the two supporting 32bit PC4200 and PC3200 RDRAM RIMM modules has finally appeared in Japanese retail stores. This is a well-known P4T533 from ASUS, which we have already told you about in the end of May. I would like to point out right away that you shouldn’t mix this mainboard with P4T533-C intended for regular 16bit PC800 and PC1066 RDRAM RIMM modules, which has been selling for a long time already.

As we have expected, the package includes certainly ASUS P4T533 mainboard, a 256MB Kingston memory module. Although to our great disappointment it appeared not PC4200 (PC1066 analogue), but only PC3200 (PC800), which is surely less interesting. Even the relatively reasonable price of the set cannot make up for the absence of the so impatiently awaited PC4200 RDRAM memory. BTW, the mainboard is selling for around $230-$240.
