Hardly have 1.5 months passed since the first DDR II chips arrived (working at 533MHz DDR and 667MHz DDR frequencies), as Samsung again took the lead and launched 128Mbit DDR II chips with the resulting frequency of 1GHz (4Mx32, i.e. these are for the graphics market). Of course, DDR II chips work at 1.8V and use on-die-termination technology. They are packed into BGA 9to be more exact, into FBGA package). The mass shipment of these chips is scheduled for September this year.
Anyway, it is not for nothing that Samsung intends to occupy 80% of the DDR SDRAM graphics market by the end of the year...
