As we have expected (see this news story), Intel announced the launching of its new Pentium 4-M CPU working at 2.0GHz. In order to have no gaps in the product range, they also introduced a model working at 1.9GHz core clock.

The new CPUs are manufactured with 0.13micron technology, feature 512KB L2 cache and use Quad Pumped Bus with the resulting frequency of 400MHz. TDP (Thermal Design Power) of both new models makes 32W in Performance mode for 1.3V Vcore. In Battery mode the working frequency of both processors gets reduced down to 1.2GHz and the Vcore drops down to 1.2V. In this case their TDP decreases down to 20.8W. In 1,000-unit quantities the CPUs sell at $637 for a 2GHz model and $401 for a 1.9GHz model.
