MicroStar International company today introduced the first ever retail GeForce4 Ti4800SE based graphics card before any other company managed to do this. The newcomer is equipped with 128MB of BGA DDR SDRAM, D-Sub and a TV-Out connector. As always, MSI bundles a lot of software with its graphics card.
As we learned some time ago, the GeForce4 Ti4800SE is nothing more than the GeForce4 Ti4400 but with AGP 8x support (see this news-story), thus, do not expect this one to outperform the GeForce4 Ti4600 in typical applications despite of the higher model number. The GeForce4 Ti4800SE based graphics cards should run at 275MHz for core and 550MHz for memory; in contrast, the GeForce4 Ti4800 and Ti4600 run at 300/650MHz for GPU/RAM.<%BANNER[article]%>
Pricing and availability timeframe for the product are being determined.
