Another VIA KT400 Based Mainboard from Gigabyte

Gigabyte Technology announced their new VIA KT400 based mainboard GA-7VAXP Ultra. GA-7VAXP Ultra belongs to Gigabyte’s new product family known as K7 Triton 400 series. The GA-7VAXP Ultra is based on the GA-7VAXP design (see this news-story), but also offers a couple of Serial ATA ports as additional feature.
- Supports all Socket A Athlon XP/Athlon/Duron processors;
- VIA KT400 chipset with VT8235 I/O Controller;
- 3 DIMM slots for up to 4GB of PC2100 (DDR266), PC2700 (DDR333) and DDR400 DDR SDRAM;
- 5 PCI and 1 AGP 8x slot;
- 2-channel integrated ATA-33/66/100/133 controller;
- Promise 20276 RAID controller;
- Silicon Image Serial ATA controller;
- 10/100/Mbit/s Ethernet Adapter;
- 6 USB 2.0 ports;
- 3 FireWire (IEEE1394) ports;
- Integrated AC`97 6-channel ALC650 audio solution with SP/DIF connectors;
- Memory Stick, Secure Digital and Smart Card Readers;
- Gigabyte’s proprietary technologies, such as, Dual BIOS, EZ-Fix AGP slot, Easytune 4, Q-Flash, @BIOS and so on;
- Overclocking functions and CPU overheat protection;
- ATX Form-factor.

Gigabyte Technology just decided to remind us about itself by announcing a little bit more advanced product compared to their GA-7VAXP. They have not declared the availability timeframe of the device as well as its price.
