VIA Technologies’ subsidiary VPSD showcases the P4X600 based mainboard at Comdex Fall, Las Vegas. The product is made very thoroughly on blue PCB and it seems that this revision is very close to the final one.
The most important fact about this mainboard is that there are four memory slots placed on it. On the previous version of VIA P4X600 reference mainboard there were only two of them (see this news-story). As we know, VIA P4X600 supports dual-channel memory configurations, thus, with only two memory slots available, it is very uncomfortable to add more memory to such computer. Furthermore, such mainboard can utilize of up to 2GB of DDR SDRAM.
Since the product is practically a final one, I will reveal you its technical specifications (remember that the specs may be changed without any notices from VIA):
You be able to purchase this device only in the first quarter next year because VIA had postponed the commercial release of the P4X600 (see this news-story).
