Not clocely related to computer hardware, but still a an interesting fact about one of AMD's vice presidents. The Sunnyvale, California-based semiconductor company announced that Patrick Moorhead, vice president of Corporate Marketing, has been named to the boards of directors of two prestigious technology industry associations: the American Electronics Association (AeA) and the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). Both board terms will begin on the 1st January 2003.
The CEA board of directors includes 50 leaders in the consumer electronics industry and is a forum for advice about industry promotion programs and education. The board term is one year. AeA board members support the organisation’s mission to promote American leadership in high-technology engineering, manufacturing and services and to serve as “the voice of the U.S. high-tech community.” The board term is two years. In both cases Mr. Moorhead will analyse the trends and offer new kinds of products for the end-users. <%BANNER[article]%>
