Well, it seems that ASRock becomes very popular in the news section of our site. This time I am not going to tell you anything about the new products sold under this brand-name, but share some additional information on the K7VT2 mainboard for Socket A processors that was unveiled on Thursday, October 31, 2002 (see this news-story).
Apparently, ASRock equips its VIA KT266A based mainboard with VT6201/VT6202 USB 2.0 controllers, but not with VT8235 South Bridge, as it was stated some time ago. There is unofficial information that VIA supplies its KT266A core-logic with the newer I/O controller now, however, according to this web-site, ASRock still utilises external USB 2.0 supporting chips.<%BANNER[article]%>
