i845PE and i845GE Based Mainboards from FIC: Better Later Than Never

FIC launched today its two new mainboards based on the i845PE and i845GE chipsets: the VC19E+ and VC19G+. It seems that the company is a bit late with the announcement since most of its rivals started to offer their i845PE and i845GE powered devices about two months ago. In fact, both mainboards are pretty advanced and offer bunch of additional features. Although there are numerous products with similar specifications on the market, we can only welcome another two because if there are many powerful devices, their prices will decrease constantly.

Here are the specifications of the newcomers for your reference:

• Supports Socket 478 Pentium 4 / Celeron processors with 400/533MHz FSB with 3.06GHz clock-speed and above;
• Can take advantage of the CPUs with the Hyper-Threading technology enabled;
• VC19E+: i845PE chipset, including i82845PE MCH and i82801DA ICH4;
  VC19G+: i845GE chipset, including i82845GE GMCH and i82801DA ICH4;
• 3 DIMM slots for up to 2GB of PC2100 or PC2700 (533MHz FSB) DDR SDRAM memory.
• VC19G+: Integrated Intel Extreme Graphics videoadapter with DVI add-on card support;
• 5 PCI slots and 1 AGP 4x slot;
• 2-channel ATA-100/66/33 integrated controller;
• Serial ATA-150 controller from Silicon Image, supporting two Serial ATA ports;
• USB 2.0 ports;
• FireWire (IEEE1394) ports;
• 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet adapter;
• ADI1980 6-channel audio solution with A73 bracket to provide coaxial audio interfaces;
• Supports all the latest technologies from FIC, including, BIOS Guardian, Logo Genie, HotKey, Overclock Partner, 1stAid and so on;
• Provides overclocking and hardware monitoring features;
• ATX Form Factor.
