Hercules (Guillemot division) announced its new graphics card based on ATI RADEON 7500 chip (the company never uses NVIDIA chips for its products). The graphics card is called 3D Prophet 7500 DDR 64MB.

It is based on the first RADEON chip, is equipped with 64MB DDR SDRAM, two D-Sub (CRT) Outs and a TV-Out. Just like all the third party products of the kind, the clock frequencies of the chip and memory are lower than those by the brand name ATI cards. The solution from Hercules works at 270MHz chip and 640MHz memory frequency (the brand name ATI solution works at 290MHz core and 460MHz memory frequencies. The card should start selling for around $149.99.
