The SDRAM and DDR SDRAM makers are still very concerned about the license fees Rambus wants to receive from them. According to our unofficial data, the Federal Trade Committee in the USA is about to start an investigation about Rambus’s misappropriation of intellectual property of JEDEC companies (in fact, nearly the same complaint was considered in the famous case of Infineon against Rambus).
As is known, license fees are one of the major income items for the American company, so no doubt that Rambus will fight furiously for it. Well, now we look forward to some official reaction from the Low-Altos headquarters.
