NV30 and R300 Not to Be Showcased for Long...

As we have just told you (see this news story), the low-cost new solutions from NVIDIA and ATI are about to crop up. However, their elder brothers seem to be still far away from us. As the rumors claim, NV30 and R300 (both supporting DirectX 9) should be launched in September at the earliest (at best), and if worst comes to worst they may be announced only in the very end of the year.

By the way, ATI guys unofficially claim that their R300 and RV250 chips will appear ahead of NV30 and NV18 from NVIDIA (and to tell the truth, I tend to believe it, especially in terms of RV250). Will ATI finally manage to outpace NVIDIA in the desktop graphics market? :)
