At last, there followed at least some reaction to the numerous announcements of new Intel mobile CPUs (see this and this news stories). Although I would never cal it an adequate reaction: AMD announced that they reduced the prices of their Mobile Duron and that’s it.
The price of Mobile Duron 1.2GHz dropped from $160 to $129 (-19.4%), of 1.1GHz – from $130 to $99 (-23.8%), of 1GHz – from $100 to $79 (-21%). And as for the Mobile Duron 950MHz, which used to cost $90, it was simply removed from the official price-list.
