PNY Already Purchased ELSA?

NVIDIA made an official press-release saying that the graphics cards based on its professional Quadro4 chips can be purchased in the US and Europe from its partner – PNY Technologies, Inc. I would like to note that the press-release doesn’t say a single word about PNY producing Quadro4 based graphics cards (though they have been using NVIDIA desktop chips in their Verto product family very successfully). The whole thing is only about sales. And now let’s recall the following:
- Quadro based graphics cards are produced exactly by ELSA.
- Not so long ago (see this news story) we received some info about PNY planning to purchase ELSA, which has gone nearly completely bankrupt.
- Just a few days ago (see this news story) many Japanese stores started selling GLADIAC 925 ViVo graphics cards based on GeForce4 Ti4600.
Taking all these facts into account we arrive at a pretty logical conclusion that PNY Technologies will really buy ELSA, if they haven’t yet done it. And at least one thing is evident: ELSA is still floatable and hasn’t been announced a complete bankrupt only thanks to the evident NVIDIA/PNY’s support.
