Intel made an official press-release, where they shared the results of Q1 2002. The revenues in that quarter made 6.8 billion dollars, which is around 3% less than last quarter, but 2% higher than a year ago. Speaking about the profitability of Intel’s business we can say that the results are pretty good: the net revenue for the considered quarter made $936 million. It is 86% higher than in the previous quarter and 93% higher than a year ago.

It seems to be the absence of Pentium 4 CPU shortages, which has been the case all last quarter :) Also mass spreading of i845 B-Step chipset and very good popularity of 0.13micron Celeron processor is most likely to have made its contribution as well. So, all in all, Intel is doing quite well.
