Intel reduced the processor prices, which we predicted about one and a half months ago already (see this news story). The correction touched upon Pentium 4, Pentium III, Pentium III-S, Xeon, as well as LV/ULV models of the "mobile" Pentium III-M and Celeron.
| CPU | Price before April 14 | Price from April 14 | Reduction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pentium 4 2.2GHz | $562 | $423 | 25% |
| Pentium 4 2AGHz | $364 | $284 | 22% |
| Pentium 4 2GHz | $342 | $262 | 23% |
| Pentium 4 1.9GHz | $241 | $225 | 7% |
| Pentium III 1.2GHz | $241 | $163 | 32% |
| Pentium III 1.13AGHz | $173 | $153 | 12% |
| Xeon 2.2GHz | $615 | $465 | 24% |
| Xeon 2AGHz | $417 | $305 | 27% |
| Xeon 2GHz | $396 | $316 | 20% |
| Xeon 1.8GHz | $251 | $224 | 11% |
| Pentium III-M LV 866MHz | $316 | $241 | 24% |
| Pentium III-M LV 850MHz | $316 | $241 | 24% |
| Pentium III-M LV 800MHz | $241 | $198 | 18% |
| Celeron ULV (0.13micron) 650MHz | $144 | $118 | 18% |
| Celeron LV (0.13micron) 650MHz | $134 | $96 | 28% |
The next processor price drop is scheduled by Intel for May 26 (see the details here).
