Info on GeForce4 Ti4200

As is known, GeForce4 Ti4200 based graphics cards should start selling in the end of April already, however there are no credible details about their configuration yet. FiringSquad tried to clarify the situation a little bit. The guys suppose that NVIDIA will advise the manufacturers to make two versions of GeForce4 Ti4200 based solution: one with 64MB memory and 250MHz/500MHz (DDR) chip and memory working frequencies, and another one with 128MB memory and 250MHz/444MHz (DDR) chip and memory working frequencies. The recommended retail price of the first modification is $179 and of the second - $199.

I have two things to say after reading this info. First of all 444MHz looks quite weird, and second 250Mhz core and 500MHz (DDR) memory frequencies seem to me the most logical solution here (this is what I have already mentioned in our news when the first info on GeForce4 Ti4200 cropped up, see this news story for more). Moreover, if the info posted by FiringSquad is true, then tell me who on earth will ever need the second version of the card then? I believe, nobody.<%BANNER[article]%>

By the way, there is a review of both graphics cards on the same site already. Check it here.
