As I read over here SiS is going to start shipping in mass its Xabre chips (see this news story for more details on Xabre) next month already. Unfortunately, it is still unclear, which chips the company will start shipping first (there are four of them: SiS328, SiS332, SiS334 and SiS336), however, the mere fact of SiS being ready to start the mass shipments so early is at least surprising.
Some graphics cards makers have already expressed their intention to start making graphics cards on these chips. among them are Elitegroup (SiS’ No.1 partner), PowerColor, Gigabyte and CP Technology (which we know from PowerColor brand name). Later on some other Taiwanese makers are about to join the team.
