ABIT company, who has recently entered the market of mainboards and platforms for servers and workstations, has announced the release of a new server mainboard. Following the product based on i7500 E chipset, the company announced another dual-processor mainboard WA2A for AMD Athlon MP processors. This newcomer, based on AMD 760MPX chipset has the following specifications: Dual Socket A, four DDR DIMM slots working with unbuffered and registered PC2100 DDR SDRAM modules, AGP Pro slot, three PCI 32-bit/33MHz slots, two PCI 64-bit/66 MHz slots, 4 USB, AC’97 sound, and integrated Intel 82559 network controller.
The mainboard will have capacities for processors overclocking (change of a multiplier, FSB frequency, Vcore and Vio) and will have a DualBIOS technology analogue. ABIT is going to present its Dual Socket A WA2A mainboard at the CeBIT show, although it is unlikely that the audience will be very surprised: the same mainboards will be presented by such companies as Iwill, EpoX, Chaintech, Gigabyte, MSI, ASUS and TYAN.
