Despite the really oppressive financial situation, ELSA announced three new professional graphics solutions based on the new NVIDIA Quadro 4 graphics chips, which should replace GLoria III and GLoria DCC soon.

The mentioned graphics cards should start shipping in the middle of April. Together with the graphics cards ELSA will ship special drivers optimized for professional applications, which are actually the only significant difference between the Quadro 4 and gaming GeForce4 families.

We should also point out that because of some financial troubles, which ELSA is now living through, this manufacturer is no longer an exclusive supplier of professional graphics solutions based on NVIDIA chips. NVIDIA is afraid that ELSA’s bankruptcy will not let the company supply sufficient quantities of Quadro 4 based solutions. That is why NVIDIA is now looking for new partners, who could produce this kind of products. Even though ELSA still received graphics chips for its production, NVIDIA will announce new names at CeBIT, which will start manufacturing Quadro 4 based graphics cards together or instead of ELSA.
