It is not for nothing that GeForce4 based graphics cards are all equipped with Samsung chips working at the frequencies up to 660MHz (330MHz DDR). And today Samsung moved one more step forward having announced graphics memory chips, which can work at 800MHz (400MHz DDR).
New chips are 128Mbit and work at 2.8V. They are packed into 144-pin FBGA package 12mm x 12mm big. At present Samsung is sampling the first chips marked as K4D26323RA-GC25. so, the graphics chips and graphics card makers again have something to think of.
