As we learned from our unofficial sources, VIA started producing samples of their new VT8235 chips, which will be used as a new South Bridge in its chipsets. As we have already told you here, this South Bridge differs from its predecessor (VT8233A) by the implemented USB 2.0 support and 533MB/sec V-Link bus.

Unfortunately, we don’t know the exact shipping schedule for this chip yet, but we learned that the next VIA VT8237? South Bridge will support SerialATA interface and maybe even 802.11b standard (wireless Ethernet up to 10Mbit/sec).
