Intel Roadmap Update!

From our reliable sources we got some more information on the already mentioned things (see this news story). Of course, the information has to do with Intel’s Processor plans for the current year. In fact there is nothing absolutely new there (besides the things I told you about here). In general, this is just a bit more precise launching schedule:
Pentium 4 (all CPUs with 0.13micron Northwood core):
- Q1’02: no new models to come.
- Q2’02: two CPUs for 533MHz Quad Pumped Bus (working at 2.26GHz and 2.4GHz) and one for 400MHz QP (2.4GHz).
- Q3’02: 2.53GHz (533MHz QP) and 2.5GHz (400MHz QP).
- Q4’02: 2.66GHz and 2.8GHz (both for 533MHz QP) and 2.6GHz (400MHz QP).
- Q1’03: "3.x GHz" (no exact frequencies announced).
Celeron.- Q1’02: no new models to come.
- Q2’02: Tualatin/256 working at 1.4GHz (the last Tualatin/256), Willamette-128 working at 1.7GHz.
- Q3’02: Willamette-128 working at 1.8GHz.
- Q4’02: Willamette-128 working at 1.9GHz.
- Q1’03. Willamette-128 working at 2.0GHz and the first Celeron based on Northwood core ( L2 cache size hasn’t been announced) working at 2.0GHz.
That’s about it. Figuratively speaking, Intel’s roadmap looks like an ideally even table cloth, which is very unlikely to purse, unless AMD contributes to it :)
