AMD Athlon XP processor packed into beautiful retail boxes, which we told you about in January, started selling in Japanese retail stores (see here for pics).
This is Athlon XP with 1700+ rating, which is now available in Japanese stores for around $150. In fact, the package looks just the way it should, but what is that? The beautiful green cooler turned out ordinary garishly-black! Even though it still has AMD’s logo on it, it doesn’t look that happy any more :) Anyway, the only thing that really matters is the proper cooling effect, actually. Let it be quiet and reliable, and we will forgive the unhappy color :)
