Super Talent, a leading supplier of memory products, has announced its new series of solid state drives (SSDs) that boast with higher performance as well as up to 120GB capacity. “These new SSDs are a rugged, lightning fast, low power storage alternative for mobile professionals and enthusiasts. With such overwhelming benefits, MasterDrive SSDs are sure to revolutionize mobile storage”, commented Super Talent marketing director, Joe James.

Super Talent MasterDrive MX (based on multi-level cell [MLC] NAND flash memory) and MasterDrive DX (based on single-level cell [SLC] NAND flash memory) offer 120MB/s read speed and 40MB/s or 70MB/s write speed depending on the model and flash memory organization, the manufacturer claims. The MasterDrive SSDs from Super Talent utilize Serial ATA-300 interface and are compatible with a wide range of desktops and notebooks.

Even though Super Talent MasterDrive DX solid state drives offer leading edge speed and are considerably faster than previous-generation SSDs, recently announced solid state drives from OCZ Technology provide even higher performance with 120MB/s read and 100MB/s write speeds.

MasterDrive DX drives are backed with a three year warranty, whereas MasterDrive MX drives include a one-year warranty. MasterDrive SSDs are available now from NewEgg and eWiz online stores.
