Intel SSDs Become More Affordable

Intel Corp. announced Monday that it is expanding the capacity range for its popular consumer solid-state drive (SSD), the with a new 330-series 240GB model. In addition, the company has lowered suggested reseller pricing on a number of SSDs including the SSD that belong to 520 series, 330 series and 320 series product lines.

The price-drop on solid-state drives by Intel shows that SSDs not only gain popularity, but also become significant sources of revenue for multibillion companies like Intel. With price slashing by a third, it seems clear that the SSD market is becoming a new field of price-wars.
