ATI Technologies announced this week that it has entered into a technology development agreement with Nintendo. Under the agreement, ATI and Nintendo are developing technologies for use in Nintendo products. No other details regarding the nature of this agreement are being made available at this time.
Although both companies said nothing about the nature of those “products”, we know that ATI develops graphics processors for various devices and market segments, while Nintendo makes consoles and hand-held games, as well as sells software for such devices. You probably do not need to be a genius to assume what this agreement is all about...
