A week after ASUSTeK began selling its GeForce FX 5800 Ultra-based graphics cards, MSI followed with the same product. Both companies only sell their novelties in Japan, meanwhile you will hardly find any NVIDIA GeForce FX 5800 or 5800 Ultra solutions in the USA and Europe, even though a lot of stores offer these cards for pre-order.

At this time all the graphics cards powered by the top GPU from NVIDIA are made strictly according to the reference design, so, graphics cards from ASUS and MSI resemble each other like twins, if we do not take labels on them into account. A very good thing I can point out about MSI’s product is its very rich bundle that includes 10 CDs with drivers, MSI’s own software, DVD-player and a lot of games.

Reportedly, the quantity of NV30-based graphics cards is very limited, that is why the prices on such products are not likely to decrease significantly in the short term. MSI’s FX 5800 Ultra costs from $493 to $535, as this Japanese web-site tells the world.
