If you are a regular visitor here at X-bit labs, you probably already know quite a lot about NVIDIA’s upcoming graphics processor scheduled to be officially announced only next month. A thing we have not revealed so far is the official brand-name of this ultimate babe.

Since you definitely want to learn the name of the next-generation chip from NVIDIA, let us try to guess it together. What do we actually know about the brand-name that will be given to the NV35? Firstly, it will be another GeForce, as the NV30 is a GeForce. Secondly, it is most-likely to be another GeForce FX, as NVIDIA is now heavily promoting the brand-name, as well as other FX-related things, such as CineFX. So, NV35 will be another NVIDIA GeForce FX family member. But what about its trendy model number? Will it be the GeForce FX 6000 or maybe 6800, or, as this and this web-sites suggest, the GeForce FX 11600? Unfortunately, we still do not know.

Read more about the NV35 graphics processor from the Santa Clara, California-based developer in related news-stories and express your own ideas about its official brand-name in comments section below the news-story.

this isn't the name of the card.

It's already been reported ( www.3dgpu.com to name one) by people who do know the name of the card that the little blurb be taken with a gallon of salt.

You seem to be implying that you have reported architectural or naming details on your website, but I've mostly seen snide remarks and blatant guessing. I bet if you new anything you might actually write an article about it, since they probably haven't let you near any silicon so that you'd have to sign an NDA. Why not have an article at least about likely architectural changes from the FX chip?
