Working frequencies of the latest affordable professional graphics cards powered by NVIDIA technology were revealed by 3DChips.fr web-site over here today. The Quadro FX 500-based professional solution will reportedly work at 270MHz for GPU and 480MHz for DDR SDRAM memory.

As you probably know, the Quadro FX 500 is NVIDIA’s latest addition to the Quadro FX family of professional graphics cards. The solution is based on the GeForce FX 5600 technology and supports all appropriate features and capabilities, including programmability and flexibility.

Working at 270/480MHz for core and memory, the Quadro FX 500 is slower than the previous generation Quadro 900 XGL, but provides 1.2 times higher performance than the previous cost-effective professional solution Quadro 550/580 XGL. Just like consumer’s versions of the GeForce FX 5600 graphics cards, the new Quadro FX 500 utilises single-slot cooling system. The Quadro FX professional graphics cards are equipped with D-Sub and DVI-I connectors.

The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price was not yet set, but in late March NVIDIA said that the Quadro FX 500 graphics card would cost $449. Currently PNY Technology, LeadTek and ELSA Japan already supply their customers Quadro FX 500 professional solution.
