TYAN announced its new lineup of graphics cards powered by the latest RADEON VPUs from ATI Technologies. The RADEON 9800 PRO graphics card is made fully according to reference design, whereas the RADEON 9200 and RADEON 9600 feature TYAN’s own proprietary capabilities, such as TYAN hardware monitoring.

TYAN Tachyon G9200 is an entry-level solution based on the RADEON 9200 GPU from ATI. The Tachyon G9200 features adjustable fan speeds, hardware monitoring, D-Sub, DVI-I and TV outputs, a 250MHz core speed and 128MB of 400MHz DDR SDRAM memory speed.

TYAN Tachyon G9600 PRO is based on the RADEON 9600 PRO graphics processor clocked at 400MHz with 128MB of DDR SDRAM memory clocked at 600MHz. Additional features include an advanced cooling system on the memory and VPU on both sides of the card, dual DVI-I output option. In fact, TYAN Tachyon G9600 PRO (G9600PRO-MD) appears to be a unique graphics card since this is the only consumer solution based on a graphics processor from ATI Technologies that feature two DVI-I outputs. Also G9600PRO-M with D-Sub and DVI-I outputs is available.

TYAN Tachyon G9800 PRO is made fully according to ATI’s reference design with 128MB of memory. The RADEON 9800 PRO chip is clocked at 380MHz, memory works at 680MHz, nothing really interesting here and no proprietary features from TYAN.

Availability timeframes and pricing is unknown at this point.
