Graphics cards makers continue to boost performance of the RADEON 9600 PRO graphics cards to the edge. Looks like ATI does not restrict its add-in-board partners with limited speeds of the RADEON 9600 PRO since the company surely understands that a lot of different cards on the market and competition between them will drive the market shares up. Moreover, NVIDIA’s GeForce FX 5600 Ultra with 400MHz core-clock and 800MHz memory frequency is a very strong competitor, thus, ATI and AIB makers need to address this as well.

We already told you about numerous RADEON 9600 and RADEON 9600 PRO-based graphics cards with enhanced performance; today we are going to share some details about the recently announced RADEON 9600 PRO Bravo Edition from PowerColor.

Being build on RADEON 9600 PRO reference PCB, RADEON 9600 PRO Bravo Edition from PowerColor offers 400MHz GPU clock and 680MHz memory frequency, up 80MHz from default speed. Certainly, the card provides AGP 8x, 128MB of DDR SDRAM memory, D-Sub, DVI-I and TV-Out connectors. Besides, PowerColor is equipped with outstanding product bundle with its new graphics card, including InterVideo WinDVD 4.0 plyaer, Tomb Raider VI – The Angel of Darkness game, Big Mutha Truckers game and RADEON Games Pack.

Pricing and availability of the PowerColor RADEON 9600 PRO Bravo Edition are to be determined.

I just purchased the bravo edition, I would like to see you guys do a review on this card. I was looking for a review but as i see it is too soon as of yet, but I still bought it even after the power-color 9600 pro ultra's crappy review. Also did they use better memory on this card or just overclock it? Any way like this site nice info here, one more question though on the ati radeon 8500 extreme overclocking segment what is the specific values on those resistors? Like there are 2-2.7komh and 2-10komh resistors but what is the wattage on them?

I wonder if Powercolor overclocked their Radeon 9600 Pro Brazo cards right out of the box, light Tyan does. This does make it harder to overclock further, but its probably worth it for people who dont plan on overclocking their video cards. Anyone know if the Powercolor 9600 Pro Bravo is just a Radeon 9600 Pro chip that has been overclocked?

Yup, the powercolor radeon 9600pro bravo edition is nothing more than an overclocked 9600pro with core still at 400 but the memory has been overclocked to 337.5MHz I think, effectively giving it 675 Mhz... I think gamershell.com has a review of the board.
