ATI Technologies has just won another contract at Micro Star International who will ship RADEON 9800-based graphics to one of the biggest European retailer Medion AG. Besides, MSI will also ship a number of SiS655FX or i865PE-based mainboards to the same client.

It is expected that one of the largest Taiwanese manufacturer will ship Medion 500 thousands of ATI RADEON 9800-powered graphics cards and 500 thousands of mainboards in late August.

This Spring Medion ordered 300 thousands of performance mainstream RADEON 9600 TX graphics cards from MSI and a Friedman Billings Ramsey analyst assumed that the retailer may order another bunch of Powered by ATI graphics this Fall. As we see, it happens, and now one of the biggest clients of Santa Clara, California-based NVIDIA Corporation builds the high-end graphics card for Medion.

According to DigiTimes web-site, MSI shipped about 4.5 million graphics cards in the first seven months of this year, half of its full-year target. It projects shipping 6.3 million graphics cards in the first three quarters of this year. MSI ships graphics cards for Dell and other big OEMs.
