The market of computer hardware reached the point when typical devices cannot excite anyone at all. From our reviews of mainboards and graphics cards you know that different companies use various methods of attracting attention to their products –some use an extravagant packaging, others try to offer more performance. But it seems that all of this is just not enough for hardware makers to have a number of funky products in their product families, some of them even cope with kind of conceptual designs to bring even more fun to the [potential] customers and press.

Sapphire Technology, ATI’s Number One AIB Partner is demonstrating a dual-VPU graphics card with two RADEON 9800 PRO graphics processors on it at Computex Taipei 2003. Besides, you can notice BGA memory chips, ATI Rage Theater VIVO controller and a lot of other stuff mounted onboard in the picture first published by this web-site.

The so-called RADEON 9800 PRO MAXX looks really cool, it attracts much attention, but, unfortunately, this is a vaporware, not a real graphics card, some sources calmed us down today.

PS. If you still believe in dual-chip graphics cards, check out something powered by dual XGI Volari X8 for some $500 later this year.
