Gigabyte Technology, a first-tier graphics cards and mainboard maker, is reported to unveil its first NVIDIA-based graphics cards for the past two years next week. An industry publication called DigiTimes suggest that the products will be based on the  GeForce FX 5950 Ultra and GeForce FX 5700-series graphics processors.

The number four mainboard maker is concentrated on bringing a product lineup that would satisfy all the needs of its customers. The company constantly provides mainboards for Intel and AMD processors based on chipsets from Intel, VIA, SiS, NVIDIA and even ATI Technologies. Gigabyte presumably wants to deploy the same approach in its graphics cards business and adopt graphics processors from ATI, NVIDIA and even XGI eventually.

Graphics cards makers benefit from multiply sources of GPUs and VPUs for their products due to competition between chip developers. As we witness nowadays, a number of NVIDIA partners adopted ATI RADEON processors earlier this year; now companies, who have been building graphics cards powered by ATI’s processors exclusively, disclose plans to bring into play NVIDIA GeForce FX GPUs as well. Moreover, there are indications about a number of companies to collaborate with XGI, a young graphics chip designer from Taiwan.

Expect details about NVIDIA-powered graphics cards from Gigabyte to transpire in the middle of next week.
