Info-Tek Corp., the company behind GeCube brand, announced the world’s first graphics cards based on the recently announced visual processing units (VPUs) from ATI Technologies that are intended to be used in old-generation systems that feature AGP 8x bus.

GeCube’s new RADEON X1000 lineup for AGP 8x bus will consist of models X1600 PRO (GC-RX1600PGA2-D3) and X1300 LE (GC-RX1300GA2-D3) intended for mainstream and entry-level computers respectively. The new graphics cards will bring benefits, such as Avivo technology, Shader Model 3.0 support and so on, of ATI’s latest micro-architecture dubbed RADEON X1000 to users in budget, who either upgrade their old machines or get very low cost computers.

GeCube RADEON X1600 PRO product features VPU clocked at 500MHz with 12 pixel shader processors and 5 vertex shader processors as well as is equipped with 256MB GDDR2 memory at 780MHz. GeCube RADEON X1300 LE product features VPU clocked at 450MHz with 4 pixel shader processors and 2 vertex shader processors as well as is equipped with 256MB GDDR2 memory.

The suggested retail price for the GeCube RADEON X1300 LE AGP is $129, whereas the GeCube RADEON X1600 PRO AGP will cost $179. The former will be available in later December, 2005, whereas the latter is expected to start emerging on shelves of stores in late January, 2006.
