TYAN, who is mostly known for its server mainboards and barebones, will soon start to offer its RADEON 9500 PRO graphics card. In spite of the fact that the RADEON 9500 PRO graphics processor looks a bit outdated after the RADEON 9600-series was announced, the manufacturer claims that the product came to the market for a long time and will offer numerous unique features.

The Tachyon G9500 PRO is equipped with D-Sub, DVI-I, TV-Out and 128MB of DDR SDRAM memory. The card runs at 275/540MHz, just like ATI’s reference, however, TYAN’s Tachyon G9500PRO can be overclocked and monitored using Graphics Monitor Software 2.0. Version 2.0 allows users not only to monitor key hardware indicators such as VPU temperature and voltage, but also to regulate the fan speed of the card for optimal acoustics in the end-user’s PC environment.

The Tachyon G9500 PRO will ship in late March 2003 and will be available for quite a long time due to its unique features. Pricing information is not unveiled at this time.
