ASUSTeK started to sell its V9900 graphics cards based on the NVIDIA GeForce FX 5800 graphics processor. As always, the first products appeared in Japan, while in the USA or Europe you will hardly get any NV30 powered solutions unless you get something like Quadro FX 1000 or 2000.

The ASUS V9900 graphics card features the same Flow FX cooling system, as used on the V9900 Ultra, despite of the fact that the “non-Ultra” is clocked at 400/800MHz (core/memory), while the faster version boasts with 500/1000MHz frequencies for the GPU and DDR-II SDRAM frame-buffer. ASUS GeForce FX 5800 is equipped with D-Sub, DVI-I and TV-Out connectors. Japanese retail stores sell it for roughly $380, what seems to be “nearly normal”, as even the US e-tail stores offer it for about $330, while Japanese shops often set higher prices on the new goods.

The USA stores now tell us that the NV30 powered graphics cards will start to appear in the first week of April, I mean this week.
