Unofficial sources revealed ATI Technologies’ plans to update its cost-effective lineup of multimedia graphics cards with ALL-IN-WONDER 9200SE graphics cards powered by ATI’s inexpensive RADEON 9200 GPU. The product is designed to offer very price-conscious end-users some advanced multimedia capabilities.
<%BANNER[article]%>As all AIW graphics cards, the newcomer comes with Stereo TV-tuner that supports up to 125 channels, VIVO feature, the card provides unique set of capabilities for home entertainment, including TV-ON-DEMAND, EAZYLOOK, MulTView, THRUVIEW and Gemstar GUIDE Plus+, as well as DirectX 8.1 support. Unlike the rest ALL-IN-WONDER products, the AIW 9200SE will not come with bundled REMOTE WONDER controller and consumers will have to buy it separately.
You should not expect high performance in 3D applications from the forthcoming AIW because it features 64-bit memory bus that kills performance in the majority of popular 3D applications of today. Nevertheless, the ALL-IN-WONDER 9200SE may become a nice option for not really demanding end-users.
Watch out for the announcement of the product to happen later this year.
