The new addendum into pretty well-known Personal Cinema product family that is offered by a number of add-in graphics cards partners of NVIDIA is the Personal Cinema FX 5700 – a fully-featured multimedia solution powered by the GeForce FX 5700 graphics processor.

NVIDIA’s Personal Cinema lineup allows users to watch, record and control TV or FM radio, capture video and even play DirectX 9.0 games on the SKUs based on the GeForce FX 5200, 5600 or 5700 chips..

The latest Personal Cinema FX 5700 includes an integrated TV tuner, VIVO capability, a radio-frequency remote controller (with USB receiver), component-out video support for both high definition (HD) and progressive scan/standard definition (SD) TV formats as well as DVI and D-Sub connectors for various types of monitors.

Historically the market of graphics cards with multimedia capabilities has been dominated by ATI Technologies with its ALL-IN-WONDER series. At this point numerous analysts also consider ATI to be the leader in the field, which is no surprise, as the company has plethora of AIW graphics cards at different price-points starting from $129. ATI’s fastest AIW product to date is the AIW 9800 PRO based on the RADEON 9800 PRO graphics processor quoted at $399.

The Personal Cinema FX 5700 is now available from eVGA.com in 128MB and 256MB versions.
