After the news-story about NVIDIA Utilising ATI’s Radio Frequency Controller with the new Personal Cinema was published, our valuable readers sent us this link to the web-site of X10 company who deals with consumer electronics and entertainment solutions. Apparently, this company sells remote controllers that resemble ATI’s and NVIDIA’s devices.
According to readers with knowledge of the matter, X10 designs, develops and manufactures different digital devices, including remote controllers. What is even more important for us at this point, is that this remote by X10 resembles ATI’s RemoteWonder and the new NVIDIA’s offering. Reportedly, ATI outsources (or, at least, licensees from) their remote to X10. It seems that now NVIDIA decided to go the same way. Keeping in mind the fact that now three companies sell almost the same devices, there is definitely an advantage for end-users.
