Google Pack to Make Your PC Work – Google. Google Releases Software Package for Beginners

6:16 am | Anton Shilov

Google has not released its operating system yet, but in an attempt to simplify the start of a new computer usage it released a package that includes software the search giant considers to be essential for web-browsing and typical workload. The list of software includes both programs developed by Google as well as third-party applications.

The default flavour of the Google Pack includes such software as Ad-Aware SE Personal, Adobe Reader 7, Google Earth, Google Desktop, Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer, Google Pack Screensaver, Picasa, Mozilla Firefox with Google Toolbar and Norton Antivirus 2005 Special Edition. Customers may also add GalleryPlayer HD Images, Google Talk, RealPlayer and Trillian.

For PC users running Microsoft Windows XP, the pack downloads in minutes and installs in just a few clicks. There is only one license agreement – and no wizards. There is a new tool called the Google Updater that keeps all the software in the Google Pack current. Even if some of the software in the Pack is already installed, Google Updater can be used to update and manage it.

Yet another useful utility that the Google Pack team offers is Google Pack Screensaver which transforms a set of photos into an animated photo collage.
