Startup Proposes Luxury PCs that Look Like Furniture

Some people spend time and money to make their PCs look like those from the “Star Wars” movies, some pay enormous amounts of money to transform their personal computers into old-style furniture matching interiors of remodeled living rooms. For about $55 000 a firm called Truvia can build whatever the client desires: from simple Amish and Shaker cabinets to ornate Louis XV creations.

“The trend is covering up and building in technology. People don’t want the technology itself to be the centerpiece of their living environment,” said John Wojewidka, a veteran of the custom PC business who started Truvia in response to growing demand for PCs that didn’t look like PCs.
