TrustedReviews has issued a round-up of twelve high-end power supply units (PSU) in an attempt to find the best one in terms of quality, power stability, features and price. This chart contains comparison of 12 units with output ranging from 400W to 650W. The peculiarity of this article is the presence of a high voltage static discharge test.

“You might have noticed a small sticker on some electrical equipment that is labelled Hi-POT. What this means is that the power supply has been tested with a high voltage static discharge. To pass the Hi-POT test requires that the power supply doesn’t pass the static charge on to the device(s) it’s powering, as this could potentially cause damage. This is especially important when it comes to computer components, which are very sensitive to electrostatic discharges,” writes TrustedReviews.

“Picking a winner in a group test is always tough. Aside from test results these things always comes down to personal needs as well as cost. However, winners have to be picked and based on several factors the Seasonic S12-600 comes out on top.  Not only is it very power efficient, but it also has plenty of connectors and produced some very good test results. If you need a high-end PSU for a gaming system this one hits the spot,” emphasizes the author.
