Web spam involves sending identical messages via various means, such as emails, to millions of recipients without their permission or request. While getting one or two messages a day is nothing to be upset with, once you start to receive tens of meaningless letters a day you will most probably start look for a tool that would help you to get rid of that.

The Tech Zone has posted a guide which should reduce the number of incoming spam messages in you inbox.

In his guide the author advises the following steps to be taken:

• Get your own domain name;
• Create private e-mail addresses;
• Create public e-mail addresses as aliases;
• Setup the default or catch-all e-mail address;
• Create specific named public e-mail addresses as and when required;
• Send spam back to where it came from, if possible;
• Be diligent in the ongoing management of your domain.
