How to Change Steam Account Name — Step-by-Step
Make sure you are logged into your Steam account before proceeding with this process. You can look more unique at the end by also implementing your new name in your Steam ID. Step 1: Launch the Steam client and simply hover your mouse arrow over your username as you can see on the image below.
Step 2: A drop-down menu will open. You need to click on “Profile”.
Step 3: On the right side of the screen, click on “Edit Profile”.
Step 4: Simply type in what your new Steam username should be in the box next to “Profile Name” and hit “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.
You can also delete all of the names you’ve had on your Steam account in the past. As you may know, Steam saves all of these but you can easily delete every single one. Simply open your Steam profile again using the previous steps and click on “Clear previous aliases” from the drop-down menu next to your username.
