How to Create a Team on Twitch

One of the best parts about streaming on Twitch is the fact that you can meet a lot of new people and make a lot of new friends through the platform.

There are also different ways to display this newfound relationship you have with these people. You can gift them some subs, give them a moderator role, or even try squad streaming together to build your communities faster!

Another interesting way of bonding together is to create a team on Twitch that will represent your entire group of friends.

How to Create a Team on Twitch?

If you have ever wondered how to create a stream team on Twitch then you are in luck because the steps are quite simple. The main barrier of entry is the fact that the stream teams on Twitch can only be created by Partnered streamers.

This does not mean you need to give up on your dream since you can ask some partnered streamer you follow for a longer time to possibly create a team for you. Most streamers do not really care about a stream team so letting you manage it should be no problem as well.

According to the official Twitch page, to create a team you need to open a ticket and provide the following information:

  • Team Page URL (i.e.,
  • Team Display Name
  • Twitch account to own/edit

Each partnered streamer can only create 2 teams overall. Deleting or transferring ownership of the stream teams that were created does not reset the count for the said streamer so be careful not to waste your chances.

There are really no meaningful benefits to creating a stream team on Twitch besides the bonding community experience, so make sure to have fun while doing it and enjoy the companionship of your friends!
